Locronan is a charming little Brittany village 10 minutes from the hotel restaurant. This Breton village has rightly been awarded the label of the most beautiful villages in France, and it's easy to see why the town welcomes between 600,000 and 800,000 visitors every year.

Stroll around the church square and admire the beautiful 17th and 18th century mansions with their bluish-grey granite facades, listed as historic monuments (the Hôtel de la Compagnie des Indes and the Bureau Royal des Toiles).

From the main square, wander through the narrow medieval streets, home to many architectural treasures, the old weavers' quarter and the old artisans' street.
At the heart of the town, the imposing 15th-century church houses the tomb of Saint Ronan, the hermit who Christianised the region in the 5th century.

The church of Saint Ronan is home to goldsmiths' and silversmiths' pieces from the Ancien Régime, listed as historic monuments and on display in a showcase.
Things to see in Locronan: The Museum of Art and History, the Hôtel Gauthier, the stained glass windows of the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Nouvelle, the former Carolingian camp at Les Salles...
A little anecdote: the charm and magic of the area have attracted a number of film-makers (Chouans, Les Trois Mousquetaires, Un long dimanche de fiançailles...), making it ideal for large-scale historical reconstructions.
