What to see during the Fêtes Maritimes de Douarnenez?

On the quays

Immerse yourself in a vibrant and engaging atmosphere on the Rosmeur quays.

Between demonstrations, workshops, and encounters, maritime skills are showcased: shipbuilding, ropework, blacksmithing, and even net mending.

Don't miss the "salty carousel," a whimsical display featuring marine animals, or the short tours.

These 15-minute immersive experiences will transport you back to the daily lives of fishermen and artisans of yesteryear.

The Village of Initiatives will also allow you to discover projects that keep maritime heritage alive.

On the water

Douarnenez Bay is home to an exceptional fleet of approximately 400 traditional boats, carefully selected for their rich heritage.

From small sailing-rowing boats to large schooners and pilot cutters, each vessel tells a story.

From the port of Rosmeur, you can admire these ships, visit them, and sometimes even embark on a sea excursion.

Parades, nautical demonstrations, and sailing trips will punctuate these four days of festivities, creating a unique maritime spectacle.

The music

The Douarnenez Maritime Festival is also a major cultural and festive event.

For four days, dozens of artists take over the stages, the quays, and public spaces to offer an eclectic program.
